One could argue that it is a bit too soon to release a “greatest hits” collection after only three years on the international spotlight, but this CD is a good way to discover the music of these angelically-voiced Irish lasses. The group tips their hat to Enya with a remake of her “Orinoco Flow” that sounds like the original sans the orchestral arrangement. Religious songs like “Ave Maria” and “Pie Jesu” are perfect showcases for the vocalists and for violinist Máilréad Nesbit, who adds poignancy with her inspired solo on the latter. Her prowess can also be appreciated on “Shenandoah – The Contradiction,” where she plays the sweet introduction solely with the accompaniment of a piano, and then goes completely solo for the jig-like finale.
