5th Annual Joshua Tree Music Festival To Be Held May 18-20, 2007
Published January 9, 2007

JOSHUA TREE, CA-The 5th annual Joshua Tree Music Festival will take place Friday, May 18th, through Sunday, May 20th, in Joshua Tree, California. A family-friendly event for music loving souls of all ages, the festival is a three day high desert camping experience in the magical Mojave. The festival is held in the shadows of the National Park, and is one of the only multi-day campout music festivals of its caliber in the Southwest.

The festival showcases an incredibly diverse array of more than 20 nationally, and internationally recognized recording artists. From rocket-fueled funktronica to rippin’ newgrass, flamenco-delic, afro-centric, swampy n’awlins grooves, angelic harmonies and tribal beats all can be found at the fest. Two stages alternate through out the weekend so you don’t miss any bands, and the music flows non-stop.

The line-up so far includes: Los Amigos Invisibles (Venezuela), the New Deal (Canada), Ganga Giri (Australia), Vusi Mahlasela (South Africa), Garaj Mahal (fea. Fareed Haque), Heavyweight Dub Champion (SF), Be Good Tanyas (Canada), Rhythm Council (fea. Papa Mali, Henry Butler, Kirk Joseph & Robb Kidd), Pnuma Trio (Memphis), Meltone (Japan), Brett Dennen (LA), Trampled By Turtles (Duluth, MN), Kokolo Afrobeat Orchestra (NYC), Po’ Girl (Canada), Omar Torrez (LA), Solid Ray Woods & the Raw Soul Revue (Joshua Tree). More tba soon. Check the website for artist bios and updates.

Children of all ages are welcome. The festival village includes Organic Foods, World Market, PlayShops, KidsVille, the Love Train, daily parades and more. The music begins at 5:00 P.M on Friday, at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday and Sunday, and runs until the wee hours of the morning each night. Dance under the stars and howl at the moon in this awe-inspiring high desert environ!

Early Bird Tickets are now available now for Friday ($21), Saturday ($32), Sunday ($21) or a three-day pass for $60.00. Please call 877-327-6265.
