Riverboat Records artist Emmanuel Jal, one of Africa’s hottest young rappers, is appearing alongside some of Britain’s biggest bands on the War Child album Help: A Day In The Life. The stellar line-up includes Radiohead, Kaiser Chiefs, The Magic Numbers, Manic Street Preachers, Belle & Sebastian, Gorillaz, Keane, Damien Rice, The Zutons, The Coral, Bloc Party, Razorlight and Mercury award-winners Antony And The Johnsons.
Ten years ago the original Help album, which featured Oasis, Massive Attack and Blur, raised more than £1.25m for children caught up in the Bosnian war. The 2005 album, Help: A Day In The Life, aims to help the victims of conflict around the world and is being coordinated by the War Child charity (www.warchild.org.uk). Help: A Day In The Life was released exclusively for download on Friday September 9 from www.warchildmusic.com and the full album will also be released on CD on September 26.
