For the second consecutive year, The Pasadena Cinco De Mayo (PCDM) Celebration will return to the Rose Bowl on May 6th and 7th. Celebrating Latino heritage and culture, the event features the best of Latino music, culture, sports, arts, film, performing arts, books, and culinary arts. The Main Stage Entertainment will be produced by LATV, and features a classic Mex 2 The Max event on Saturday, May 6th followed by an Urban and Reggaeton Fiesta. Sunday, May 7th is a Night of Rock. Talent scheduled to appear at the shows include: Raza Obrera, El Negro de Tijuana, Andrés Márquez - El Macizo, La Sinfonía, Eddie G, Volumen Cero and other special surprise guests.
The PCDM Celebration at the Rose Bowl 2006 is sponsored by Wells Fargo, Chevrolet, the City of Pasadena, and LATV among others. The event features: Main Stage Entertainment produced by LATV showcasing a wide variety of the best Latino bands; Super Grande Carnival – El Clasico with 25 classic carnival rides for all Ages; a Children's Art Workshop; the First Annual Classic Car Exhibit featuring a Pre 1958 Classic Car Exhibit and a special performance by the legendary group TIERRA featuring The Salas Brothers reunion; MLS Futbolito! Produced By CD Chivas USA; Copa Aztlan Youth Soccer Tournament; a Chicano Film Festival with documentaries and feature films, including those made by emerging Chicano and Latino film makers; the Mariachi 5k &10k Run/Walk, a Fine Art Exhibit, a College and University Fair with representatives from Southern California Colleges and Universities; a Book Fair produced By Martinez Books and much more.
