As they hit the road for their North American fall tour, Toubab Krewe is announcing the upcoming release of their sophomore album, Live at the Orange Peel. Recorded during the band's 2008 New Year's run at the Orange Peel in Asheville, NC, it consists of all previously unreleased songs.
Joining them on the new release is legendary spoken word artist Umar Bin Hassan of The Last Poets, and fiddler Rayna Gellert of Uncle Earl.
Gellert will also join Toubab Krewe for several tour dates this fall, including  shows at the Bowery Ballroom in NYC (10/9) and the Shakori Hills (10/10) and Loki (10/11) festivals in North Carolina.
From there, they'll head through the heartland and onward to the West Coast, landing at The Independent in San Francisco for a halloween celebration on 10/31.
More details on the album release and tour coming soon.
