Renowned reggae group UB40 has recently announced their upcoming U.S. tour dates. With the introduction of Duncan Campbell, brother of Robin and Ali Campbell, as the new lead singer for the group and joined on select dates by reggae stalwart Maxi Priest, the group is set to perform at some of the most distinguished venues nationwide.
Among their many appearances, UB40 is set to perform for the first time at Los Angeles’ legendary Hollywood Bowl as part of KCRW’s “World Festival” night on Aug. 3. The group will then head north to San Francisco where they’ll perform at the historic Fillmore on Aug. 5 as well as The Ravinia Pavilion in Chicago on August 20.
UB40 will preview material from their new album Twentyfourseven, which marks the bands final recording with former member and lead singer Ali Campbell. The album features collaborations from Maxi Priest, 1 Love & Rasa Don from Arrested Development, Marvin Priest and Hunterz. Twentyfourseven represents UB40 at their creative and musical best which takes strength and inspiration from their political and social conscience.
