The Rough Guide To Latin Street Party
World Music Network

For anyone who wants to plan a Latin-themed party without having to bother to create an iPod playlist, the music on this Rough Guide collection is pretty much what you  are looking for, with nearly every danceable genre represented here. Beginning with  Jesus Pagan Y Su Orquesta's uptempo “La Rumba Se Pone Buena,” the uninterrupted tracks take the listener to a celebration across Latin America and beyond.  Highlights include Magic Juan's “Momentos Felizes,” a reggaeton with touches of salsa and Ricardo Lemvo & Makina Loca's Afro-tinged “Mentirosa.” Those  into fusion genres should check out Alex Wilson's “Use Me,” which features great, soulful English-language vocals from Lauren Dalrymple, while lovers looking for a some quiet slow dancing might be interested in “Ciego de Amor,” a bachata by Aventura feat. Anthony Santos.
